E/R: Asamankese residents demonstrate over poor roads

Angry residents of Asamankese in the Eastern region will today (Thursday) hit the streets over the poor nature of the road network in the area.

According to them, several attempts by their traditional authorities to get the appropriate authorities fix the deteriorating nature of their roads have fallen on deaf ears.

Speaking to Agoo FM this morning , leader of the angry residents Kingsley Ofosu Ntiamoah said the demonstration is intended to send a signal to the President that they can no longer tolerate the nature of the roads.

“We want to send a signal to the President that it is not just a few people who are complaining, it’s the whole Eastern who are complaining.

“We are saying that the whole road network is bad. I believe that this is not a matter of partisan politics, these are residents who are complaining,” he stated.
