First-time flier opens plane EMERGENCY EXIT to ‘get some fresh air’

A daft first-time flier who wanted some fresh air on a plane stunned passengers by opening the EMERGENCY EXIT.
Luckily, the bizarre incident happened while the jet was still grounded so airport staff rushed to fix the safety door while informing the pilot of his blunder.
Shocked stewardesses on the Chinese domestic flight between Hangzhou to Chengdu managed to pull the man away from the window.
But his actions had already triggered the automatic emergency slide system which can be seen deploying on airport CCTV in the video above.
Meanwhile, inside the plane, his bemused fellow passengers reached for their camera phones and posted pictures to Chinese social media sites.
Despite the drama, it is believed the flight, scheduled for December 8 at 9.15pm, took off without a delay.
One picture was captioned: “It’s my first time seeing a passenger open the safety door.”
Another added: “He told the attendants, he just wanted some fresh air … hope our flight won’t be delayed for too long.”
Many suggested he should have been fined for causing the mishap but he still remained on the plane and did not face any sanctions.
A spokesperson from Xiamen Air told Southern Metropolis Daily: “It was his first travel by air – he did not cause delay or any other direct loss to the airline.”
Earlier today we revealed shocking video that shows the moment terrified passengers filmed dramatic turbulence during their flight.
Some 14 on board were thought to have been injured during the chaos as debris was flung across the plane.
