Meeting between Joyce Dzidzor and AIDS Commission ends inconclusively

A meeting between former HIV and AIDS Ambassador Joyce Dzidzor Mensah and the Ghana AIDS Commission ended inconclusively last Wednesday.

The meeting, called at the behest of the AIDS Commission, ended inconclusively. It lasted barely 30 minutes.
The embattled former HIV ambassador arrived at the Ghana AIDS Commission at around 4pm yesterday, dressed in an orange polo shirt and a pair of denim trousers in the company of her lawyer.

She looked ready to face the AIDS Commission officials who are clearly unhappy following her confession last Monday that she has never tested HIV positive.

Ms Dzidzor had been working with the Commission as a 'Heart-to-Heart' Ambassador -- a campaign to fight stigmatisation of HIV patients -- for more than for more than six years.
Her lawyer, Kojo Kwaranteng told Joy News his client was uncomfortable with how the 30-munite meeting was conducted.

He said her client did not give any information to the Commission. According to him Ms Dzidzor Mensah referred the Commission to information she has already put out in the media.

Present at the meeting was Gender and Social Protection Minister, Nana Oye Lithur and Healt Minister, Dr Dr Victor Asare Bampoe.
