Residents in the Twin City were treated to the best of music and stage drama at the maiden edition of Silver Dance Night, held at the Western Regional Centre for National Culture.
Although attendance was not impressive, forcing organizers to delay the beginning of the show, the quality of the night's performances by DL Junior, Kofi Bentsil, Gyedu Blay-Ambulley, and the Sankofa Drama Troupe, kept the crowd moving throughout, till late in the night.
According to the sponsors, Kasapreko Company Limited, the show will be held on every first Saturday of each month.
Sekondi-Takoradi, once a major centre for the performing arts, is currently struggling for a revival. Most popular art venues have been bought or rented to churches. |
