“Dumsor” forces Parliament to suspend sitting again

The Parliament of Ghana has, for the second time in two months, had to suspend sitting over the frequent power outages.

According STARR NEWS' Parliamentary Correspondent Kobby Gomez-Mensah, the House had to defer deliberations as electricity supply to the Chamber got cut midway through Wednesday's sitting.

On November 20, the Speaker of parliament was livid when the lights went off while proceedings were underway.

He is reported to have ordered immediate investigations into the incident.

The report of the investigation is, however, yet to be made public.
