Some aggrieved party members are in court seeking to stop the party’s impending national executive’s elections.
Member of Parliament for Afram Plains North, Emmanuel Aboagye Didieye is seeking to halt the December 20 Congress of the party as he challenges his disqualification.
Didieye who was vying for the National Organiser slot of the NDC, said he was unjustifiably disqualified by the party’s Vetting Committee.
The court has set Thursday December 18, for the final determination of the case.
The former Trades Minister, who is facing stiff competition from incumbent Kwabena Adjei, Huudu Yahaya and coordinator of the National Disaster and Management Organisation, (NADMO), Kofi Poturphy, told Starr News that the leadership of the party must sit up and proactively deal with concerns of its followers.
“It is the failure of [our] leadership, if leadership is truly in control of the affairs of this party, some of this challenges and dissatisfaction that has been expressed through court action would have been sorted out immediately.
“In every society there would be dissatisfaction but how we manage them is what makes us successful as leaders,” Abodakpi told Starr FM’s Ibrahim Alhassan.
