Former Member of Parliament(MP) for Lower Manya Krobo in the Eastern Region, Michael Teye Nyaunu has likened the performance of President Mahama to that of the former Black Stars Coach, Kwesi Appiah who exhibited gross tactical flaws in starting a match with inexperienced players. According to him, the first term of the Mahama Administration has been “so far, so poor” due to the President’s seemingly inability to address the numerous challenges facing the nation. “..Mahama is like the former Black Stars Coach who put the experienced players on the bench and introduced them into the game after we had been beaten,” he said on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia program. Hon Nyaunu bemoaned the fact that most of the young people who find themselves in government now have made themselves billionaires instead of working to find solutions. “You see little Ministers talk so much. They have become theoreticians instead of working. All they do is defend everything as if they were put there to defend and not to work”. “I can’t understand what is going on in our country anymore. It is as if the center does not hold anymore and things are falling apart,” he opined. However, he was of the view that the only way to stem the tide is to blend the experienced with the young and “until they change their actions, I don’t foresee them in power again”.
