President John Dramani Mahama, has commended Ashanti Regional Police Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Nathan Kofi Boakye, for what he described as quality leadership.

This was during the inspection of a 250-capacity state-of-the art conference hall built through the initiative of the Commander.
DCOP Boakye has also given the regional police headquarters a major facelift.
President Mahama could not hide his admiration for what he saw, when he toured the place on Tuesday and said it was something others should learn from.
He noted that ensuring security is a collective responsibility and therefore encouraged the private sector to complement government’s efforts.
DCOP Boakye said the President’s visit would inspire the police to continue to work hard with passion and dedication.
He said whatever had been achieved could not have been possible with the support, understanding and cooperation of the people, adding that, he is optimistic that the goodwill would be sustained.
