NDC Congress in Limbo: Court rules on injunction plea Thursday

An Accra High Court has adjourned a case aiming at placing an interlocutory injunction on the upcoming national delegates’ congress of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The December 20 congress is in limbo as Justice Antony Oppong has fixed Thursday, December 18 to hear the case and hopeful give his ruling.

NDC MP for Afram Plains Emmanuel Aboagye Didieye is seeking to halt the Congress of the ruling party as he challenges his disqualification as deputy national organiser.

His lawyers pleaded they would have to study an affidavit filed by the defendant and to respond to it appropriately hence the adjournment.

According to the lawyer, he lives in Sunyani and could not make a return journey to Accra Tuesday as he needs time to reply to the affidavit with a supplementary one.
