Stonebwoy speaks against armed robbery, street violence at ‘S’ concert



Ghanaian dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has asked his fans to stay away from street vices that have the propensity of denying them a chance at a great future.

The Ashaiman bred dancehall superstar told his fans while performing on the ‘S’ concert stage on Saturday, December 13th, there was no “good” in condescending to armed robbery and street violence if one aspired to greatness.

“Raise your hands if you are a Stonebwoy fan…’me’ see ya all…Now you know no Stonebwoy music lover is ‘gwan’ do armed robbery and street violence?” he asked an enthusiastic crowd.

“If you wan be great, if you wan be a superstar, don’t do no armed robbery. Because Stonebwoy say so. Armed robbery destroys people. Say aight if you agree with Stonebwoy,” he said in a version of Patwa.

The ‘Baafira’ singer who got the crowed to agree with him also said Ghanaian dancehall and reggae artistes should be taken seriously.

He took some time off to pay tribute to his seniour’s Samini and Shatta Wale who performed before him.

"Bigups to ‘me’ fans for supporting reggae music ina di Ghana. Bigups to me fans ‘becwause’, Shatta Wale and Samini said to me Stonebwoy u pearform last because you are the biggest son.”
