The Everton ace hobbled off the pitch after ten minutes in the club’s Europa League tie against Russian side FC Krasnodar last week with a hamstring injury.
It was feared that a Grade 3 tear, which will require surgery, will sideline him for between three to six months.
However, the Everton medical team has revealed that the on-loan Chelsea player suffered a grade one tear which will require about ten days to recover.
This means he will return to training on 25 December and should be ready to join the Black Stars when camping for the Africa Cup of Nations starts on 3 January.
Ghana have also missed the services of Juventus star Kwadwo Asamoah who has undergone surgery to correct a knee injury
